Vow renewals/second weddings

When my husband and I first got married, it was just the two of us at the court house. We’ve been talking about having a vow renewal for our 5th wedding anniversary so that we can actually have a wedding with family and friends. We’re planning on it being small and the ceremony being small. Pretty much just a party with good food and a cute thing in the beginning.

Not that we give a shit but some people have said that it’s tacky and they don’t get why people do them.

Just curious what CC thinks. I’m always down for a party and food so I wouldn’t complain about someone having one. We don’t expect presents at all. We just want to celebrate each other as a couple and think it would be fun to have our babies there.
