Hi everyone,

My son is 8 weeks old and I am just curious how many TOTAL hours your babies are napping throughout the day. I’ve been tracking the past week or so and the most he naps within one day is 4 hours. And this is the total amount, not at one time. He usually averages closer to 3 hours total, ranging from 30 minute catnaps to an hour and a half longer nap. His nighttime sleep has been pretty good, as he averages around 5-6 hours when he first goes down and then another 3 hours or so after a middle of the night feeding. Do you think he is getting enough sleep? I’ve been reading on here and other websites lately that at 2 months (my son will be 2 months old on Saturday) they should be napping for 2 hours and up for one hour. I know every baby is different but there are times when my husband and I have to start getting him ready for bed around 6:30 because he is clearly overtired and I just don’t know if we are doing it right. I feel like we have a good bedtime routine going now but the whole napping thing is just random most days and not particularly scheduled. Any feedback is greatly appreciated!
