My confidence took a massive hit - from one lady who I made a cake for ( the cake with the name banner above)

I had made this bespoke cake for her, including the banner - I sent her over a phot before delivery as I always do.

Instead of the usually “it’s great! Thanks!” I was told that my cake was VILE and isn’t acceptable to give to someone (it was for her 8 year old)

She then proceeded to tell me she’s crying as her daughter will have an ugly cake!

I was so upset that I returned her deposit ( they are usually non-refundable)

An hour later I had another message asking to have the cake? I was confused but agreed to let her have it. She was expecting to have it at a massive discount! I almost considered... but then I thought she was just complaining about the cake to have it cheaper. As soon as I said you can still have the cake but at the original agreed price - she said... oh! No thank you then.

This upset me for days, but I’m glad I didn’t give in!

Everyone has been so kind with their words - really helps with the confidence! I’ve added a few more pictures ;)

After having my daughter - I needed a hobby that would calm my anxiety. Baking was the answer!

I have worked so hard at setting up my business, and I’m super proud of how everything has worked out and how this new chapter in my life has started!
