Bleeding during pregnancy?

Hello everyone!

Recently, I had a pregnancy scare (I was on CD 44 and two weeks late) and I started bleeding. Now, my mind tells me "yay I'm not pregnant!"... but my mother informed me that bleeding can occur during a pregnancy in the first trimester?

I have taken 3 tests in the past two weeks (I just got on my period today) and they were all negative. I haven't had a chance to get blood work done, but I'm working on making an appointment!

Have any ladies here that have actually been pregnant gone through bleeding? If so, how early/late into the pregnancy were you? How heavy/light was the bleeding? Please spare no details, I'd like to learn more about this (as I never knew it was possible).
