Early miscarriage?

Question

If I were pregnant but still had over a week to miss my period, would drinking cause an early miscarriage? 
Obviously there’s no way to know if I were pregnant yet, but I wanted to go out this weekend for my bday and don’t want to drink if I am pregnant. But if I’m not pregnant then there would be no point to not having a couple drinks.

Nope. Baby isn’t implanted yet. Not getting stuff from you till implanted and then you’d get a positive.
This is what my OB told me. I got drunk before I knew I was pregnant with my first (was also on the pill so I wasn’t trying)

I got absolutely hammered the night before I found out I was pregnant. And have had a textbook pregnancy and am due next month. A couple of drinks won’t hurt with how early everything is.

No it wouldn’t. I found out I was pregnant because I threw up from one glass of wine and now I’ve got a perfectly healthy month old baby boy. I say do whatever you want within reason until you get your positive test

When you say a drink how much? I doubt a glass or two would hurt because the day before I found out I was pregnant I had 2-3 glasses of wine but if you’re planning on getting drunk then I would advice against it. Take a test in the morning of your birthday with a FRER. If it’s negative then you’re in the clear because the test is stating you’re not pregnant so technically you’re not causing any harm if you get me? Baby dust ✨
