Back sleepers?

Question

Do I have any other fellow back sleepers due in December. I have been trying so hard to adjust how I normally sleep, but I wake up on my back every time I get up to pee. I just purchased a pregnancy pillow but it won’t be here til next week. Just looking for some reassurance that I’m not the only one!

My doctor says that there is no reason not to sleep however you are comfortable. If sleeping on your back caused issues your body would automatically wake you up.

Sleeping on my back is the only way I can sleep right now. I do have a pillow under one side of my back so it props me up some. I got a pregnancy pillow and hate it 😕 My Dr told me that its ok and that I will feel symptoms way before the baby would be in danger.

Definitely not the only one! For me I’m most  comfortable laying on my back. I’ll try not to lay on my back for a long time so I’ll just put a pillow on my side to help out

I'm a back sleeper and we just went and bought a couple king sized pillows from Walmart, I specifically got the copper Serta ones b.c they were what felt the best to me. Anyhow they are firm enough I put one behind me and it prevents me from completely rolling over and I hug another one. I looked at pregnancy pillows but didn't want to get stuck with it afterwards for the price! The sertas we're about 15$ each 😁

I'm pregnant with my second right now. With my first I was so nervous about how I slept because I would wake up on my back or stomach and freak out. Near the end of my pregnancy though my body started waking me up. I just KNEW it was because my body needed me to change positions from sleeping. This time I'm way less concerned. I know my body will do everything it can to protect my baby and I know it has before. If your body gets worried about your baby while you're sleeping, it will tell you. Believe it.

I naturally want to sleep on my back, but be careful! I have had episodes of syncope because of it!

I've never been a back sleeper, but this entire pregnancy it's the only way I can sleep comfortably! As long as you are comfortable and still feeling baby move, you are fine. Your body is very intuitive and will let you know if there's a problem!

I sleep mostly on my back and sometimes (a few times per night) on my right side. I can't sleep on my left side because I currently have a pretty bad inflammation under my left shoulderblade from trying to lay on my left side so much. I toss and turn all night, every night though.
