Faint but there

I'm 9 days late and took a test today! The second line was faint but there! I couldn't be happier. We've been trying for months. Husband wants to wait to tell our 5 year old he'll be a big brother until i get to a doctor (appointment is Oct. 17th). Any ideas how to tell my little one We're expecting? I want it to be really special. He wants a sibling so bad.
