My parents lacked everything. My siblings and i never got to see what a loving relationship was. Instead we saw constant physical, emotional, and mental abuse. Daily. We never were shown love. We were always pushed to the side. We took care of ourselves. We were used as pawns in their sick games while they were divorcing. We were tax write offs. Thats all. We never were given the necessities that were needed to live. We always went without. We were never clean. I could go on. But i wont. My parents sucked and they still do. I wouldnt wish my childhood on anyone

My dad was military and I was a volleyball player since I was 8. He was asked to play minor league baseball so I figured if I tried softball he’d come to more games and appreciate it. No matter what I played every game he went to he always had some kind of criticism for me. He never just said “you did great” or “good job” or “I’m proud of you”. I have always been so hard in myself because of that as a kid and now almost 30...My mom on the other hand, allowed my high school sweetheart to move in with me my senior year of high school. I chose to move out at 17 with him and work instead of going to college. We didn’t even end up staying together after 5 years. I wish she never allowed it. But I may not have met my husband if it were different.

My mom gave me everything I need. My real dad did everything for me tell he got remarried to his wife then forgot about me and his wife treated me like shit. It got so bad I kick him out of my life. My step dad I call my dad because he was there for me.

Most of what's on that list. She ALWAYS(still does) had men in & out of our home, she would leave us ALONE for weeks with 20$ for food & come back when she needed clothing. Eventually we got removed by DCFS, & she "changed". She won us back, then started going back to her old ways. She kicked me out at 16, & I thought it was the worst thing ever. Nope, that was a blessing in disguise. She has never truly apologized for so many things that she did/happened to us, & I like with so much anger. I promised I would never be like her, that I would give my children everything I never had. & So far so good. I'm happily married, we have our own home/vehicle, & we pay our own bills. My son doesn't need anything, & happy to say so.

Well my dad was a abusive drunk 
And after they got divorced my mom didn’t have much money. We got food sometimes from the food bank and random people bought us Christmas presents. Then later in life my mom couldn’t find a stable relationship and her “friends” would always come over. She’s always been a big flirt
Still is which is annoying cause she’s re married 🙄

Stability.. my mom is terrible with money  so we didn't have much stability. I also felt like I had to be the parent and I got older.
