Labor soon??

Question

So this is my first baby and I just had a check up at 36wks. Doctor hacked my cervix and said I’m 75% effaced, 1cm dilated.
Anyone who was in a similar position have an idea on how close labor might be?

Baby will come when baby is ready. Labor is extremely unpredictable. You could be 4cm and still go a while without going into labor. Be prepared to go much longer than you think... the average for first babies is 41+3. I suggest not being induced if you can avoid it because due dates can be off and like I said, your baby will come when he/she is ready. Your body k ew how to grow the baby and it knows how to finish the process.

Yep I had a check up when I was 7 days past due and she said it would still be a few days. Baby was born 14 hours later. They just make a guess. You just have to wait

No one can really say... you could be dilated at 1 for weeks.
