My son is ten his father has been in jail for three years. Getting out soon. We have a custody agreement that was placed in 2009 when he was one. That being said he has never really made any efforts to our son at all (unless he has a gf at the time and she makes him get his son) Never any birthday or Christmas presents. Even his family never really asks how he is unless I send a picture or it’s his birthday. I have never tried to keep him from his dad. But he is older now and really does not want to spend the night with him. He was/is an alcoholic and would drink and drive all the time. It’s even in our custody agreement he is NOT allowed to have our son in the car if he is driving. He has over four DUIs. His last one which sent him to jail he had my son that night and luckily he told his dad he did not want to go with him. Thank god he didn’t go or he would have been in the flipped car along side of the road with beer cans pouring out of. While his father laid in the field with a broken back....I don’t have the money to get a lawyer. I just need advice. Thank you. We are in PA.
