How long to let a 2 month old nap during the day?

Once my son eats and falls asleep he’ll sleep 4+ hours if I let him but he won’t sleep at night he’ll fight me. Also tips on how and when to start a schedule with him. Kinda have one now just not set in stone. Also any tips how to help him sleep better at night are much appreciated. TIA

Can’t really get a 2 month old on a schedule, they’ll wake up when they want to eat. They make their own schedule for now lol unless the doctor told you to wake him up to feed theres no need to. What I would have given to have my daughter sleep more than an hour and half at a time, enjoy it

I let my daughter sleep as long as she needs to. Still do today at 16 months. From 0-4 months, we worked around the eat, play, sleep routine and then at 4 months, I put her on a set routine. She woke at 6:30am, napped from 9:30-11:30am and again from 2:30-4pm and then she went to bed at 6:30pm. Her second nap was the only one I ever woke her from if needed in order to ensure that she was able to go to bed on time.

At 2 months she was taking 2 2 hour naps :) one from about 10 to 12 and then another from 2-4pm and she was waking up at 7:30 am and in bed by 7:30 pm
