Oxygen monitors? Owlet sock worth it?

So my 31 week preemie is coming home soon. He’s been off of oxygen for the past 4 days and has fast breathing still. I deff want a heart rate & oxygen monitor for him when he comes home. Any recommendations? The owlet is like $300, wondering if it’s good or not.

My son was 29 weeks and came home at 35 weeks. The Owlet was the greatest purchase ever! Highly recommend! We had no issues but make sure it’s securely on the foot. Movement can hinder connection but it wasn’t a big problem

I love my owlet. I still use it on My 11 month old. If you buy from their site, you can pay in monthly payments of like 25 bucks, no interest, so very affordable. I've never had any false alarms, and I had one red alarm for low oxygen for my son. The peace of mind it gives me is worth it imo.

We added the refurbished Owlet ($200) to our Amazon registry and used the completion discount, so we paid $170 total. We’ve been using it for 3 weeks and haven’t had a false alarm. Our little man was 36 weeks and 5 lb 9oz at his smallest. The only problem we’ve had is a few “sock placement” alarms because his feet are so little. Now that he’s 3 weeks old though we’re starting to get less and less. Maybe 1 every 2 days or so. But it has been amazing to wake up, check his O2, then roll over and go back to sleep. We lost our first in the NICU so I know how reliant you get on having constant monitoring to give you peace of mind. It’s been well worth it in my opinion.
