We are considering a 3D/4D ultrasound for our baby as a keepsake, but I've researched that they arent always safe. Any moms have any experience to share?

I’ve not heard of them being unsafe. Just did one on our baby girl last week. 💕 our girl was a little stubborn with her legs up in front of her face for part of the time but we still got a glimpse of how cute she is 💗💗

I work for Siemens ultrasound. They are perfectly safe.

The only articles saying they aren’t safe are 2-3 years old. The use of 3D ultrasounds has grown a lot since then so I would say they are safe or would’ve been shut down by now

I did it twice- once at 14 weeks to find out the gender and then did another one at 27 weeks to see his cute little face! Loved every minute of it and worth every penny. Especially since he didn’t cooperate much at my 20 week US.

I talked to my obgyn and he said it’s like the same exact thing as any ultrasound that it’s the way the computer generates the image is all. Like the software it uses. *shrug* we had three done total:)

They switch back and forth between 2d and 3d at my doctor's office. They didn't spend as much time with it on 3d but to me it felt exactly the same (not any warmer or anything).

I haven't heard they were unsafe. If you have the extra money, I say go for it. I'm too cheap lol :)

There are risks with every kind of ultrasound, please made an educated decision and do research.
