Piercings while pregnant?

I have my belly button and nipples pierced. Do I have to take the piercings out? Is it harmful if I keep them in?

I’m 25 weeks and my belly ring is still in however the ball pokes out and gets caught on everything. (I still refuse to take it out lol) after 10 years of having it it looks weird without it lol

I have my nipples and belly button done. I'm 20 weeks and my belly button doesn't really bother me. You can get a pregnancy ring though for when you get bigger. My nipple piercings I took out at 18 weeks because I hadn't switched to a plastic bar yet and had to have an emergency CAT scan and chest xray because they thought I had blood clots in my lungs. You can leave those in until birth then you only have to take them out if you're breastfeeding since they can be a choking hazard.

I took out my belly button piercing pretty early on because my skin is kind of thin and I was scared for it to rip. I am now 20 weeks pregnant and am still wearing my nipple piercings, though I had to get longer bars as my breasts are growing. I do not plan on taking them out, only for breastfeeding after birth!

I kept my belly ring in until I had an outie. You can always use a straight barbell like a tongue ring. I have my nipples pierced also but didn’t 7 years ago with my daughter so I’m not sure about that. I know I’ll have to to breastfeed

I ended up taking my nipple piercings out around the end of the first trimester because my nipples were just getting more sore and sensitive as the weeks went on. I wanted them out before it got any worse lol There’s nothing risky about leaving them in though! 
I plan to breastfeed so I would have had to take them out anyways.

I kept my belly button ring in until I was in the hospital and then they told me to take it out. I had even purchased a pregnancy belly ring and never had to use it. It was never uncomfortable for me. Every body is different. Do what feels best for you.

You’ll have to take your nipples out once you have the baby if you plan to breastfeed but until then they’re fine.

You don’t have to take them out. The belly button one will start to feel awkward though because of your growing stomach. They make pregnancy ones though.
