Future rant

My SO and I have been together 3-1/2 years. I'm ready for the next step, especially because I though he was going to propose a few months ago. The most we have ever talked about was baby names (no we aren't expecting, TTC, or have any). His whole family always asks when we going to. So of course when we saw them Sunday, they asked when we are gonna have kids/get married. He just dodges the questions. But anyway on our way back home he brought it how they always ask and I told him that I thought he was gonna propose and he just said "WHY". I try bringing it up and suggesting that I'm wanting more but he always changes the topic. We are only 23/26 but I don't want to waste my time waiting for someone who isn't gonna move forward or even talk about it. IDK what to do.
