To feel pretty. But now I don’t. I just do a skincare routine every day. I think it looks more wholesome, genuine, and it gives off a natural glow! (This is me with no makeup after using only skincare products.)

I started wearing it cause I loved it! I always saw older girls wearing it and wanted to “play with it too” lmao
Now some days I wear it to simply cover my super red cheeks but most days it’s cause I like it 🤷🏼‍♀️

Because I love it! I’m not just saying it I find it so fun so distracting . I love YouTube videos about makeup I love everything about it I think I look fine with out it but I feel so pretty with it . My family says I’m addicted to makeup 😂😂 they really don’t where a lot .

As a middle schooler who was way insecure, having my mom tell me I was too young for makeup and taking away the option for me to wear it, just started me down an unhealthy road of feeling like I needed it to feel confident. I feel like I do know now that I don’t need makeup to feel beautiful and that the confidence really comes from within. I know that it does take time to really be okay with the way you look with a bare face. I know I look perfectly fine. I still freak out over pimples, but it’s nowhere bad as it used to be when I was like 12. Skincare would have been way better for me than makeup, and I should have been focusing on working on my confidence rather than trying to hide what I hated about myself. That will never go away if you try to always make yourself “presentable”.
