Age gap?

I’m a freshman in high school (9th grade) and the guy I like is a junior (11th grade). I have a bit of a crush on him and I have forever (he was friends with my brother so I’ve known him forever) I won’t have to worry about him having bad intentions because he’s always been such a gentleman and so sweet. I don’t even know if I’ll get a shot but if I do would it be weird if we dated?
