Do/did you feel like you initiated more/most conversations about moving your relationship forward than your partner?

I mean topics like moving in together, when you want to get engaged/married, having kids?

My husband told me the first week of dating that we'd be married with a baby on the way in a year. By our year anniversary we were already married for 2 weeks and i was 15 weeks pregnant. So he did the planning.

Not moving in together. That was all him, we lived across the country from each other though so, if we wanted to be together it had to happen. After about 5 years I started bringing up our future, I felt like we were wasting time and we definitely weren't getting any younger. I only brought it up very mildly maybe once or twice a year just to make sure it was still in the plans. We are going on 8 years together, got engaged last month and hoping starting a family soon. Shortly after he turned 30 he was finally ready. He never expressed his concerns, but now that he has told me he finally feels stable enough to raise a child mentally, emotionally and financially, I really appreciate the time and effort he spent preparing for that, for me... And eventually, our family. If I would have been over bearing we would have either rushed into something we were ready for, or we would have separated due to not being on the same level. I am so glad I waited.

I am a planner. I have always had my things planned out. From the age I wanted to be married to the age I wanted kids and when I didn't want anymore kids. My husband never dated before me, never had any examples of a strong relationship/marriage. Never thought about getting married or having kids. So of course I was the one always bringing stuff up.
