Counseling after betrayal/infidelity

Before I make the decision to divorce my husband... I agreed to go to counseling next week. He has cried for weeks and stated that he will do anything to make this work... but besides giving me passwords etc...Idk what else to do. Trust is 100% gone ... but I did agree to make an effort before I completely leave. Have you ladies tried it and if so how did it work for you? Thank you
