Where does your newborn sleep?

(I am an anxious FTM.)
My 4 week old only falls asleep in her swing or her rock n play. Both items have movement, sound or vibration. Of course- she doesn’t sleep well in our expensive Halo bassinest that’s in our bedroom. I’m wondering if it’s because it’s flat and large for her; while the other items are cozy and snuggly. Is it bad for me to let her sleep in those items? What are you ladies all doing? 
Second time mommas, how will my baby then be able to sleep in her crib in a few months  if she’s used to the other items?

i know ima get alot of back lash but my baby sleeps with me. ima very light sleeper ive never tossed or turned and ive slept with her right next to me since the day she came out..im also a first time mom and am too scared to let her sleep in her crib..I've read rock and plays,swings or bouncers are bad to let baby sleep in because there in a tilted position and there chin is basically to their chest and they can suffocate..also read that rock and plays cause flat head syndrome.. and swaddling can be dangerous too because it can be hard for them to pull them selfs out of a deep sleep..which is why pacifiers are recommend because they reduce the risk of sids.. im also a first time mom and im super paranoid about sleep time..sorry   for all the unasked for info/ ftm paranoia...

My baby sleeps in our bed in his baby nest, I don’t feel as crazy paranoid when he’s in a babynest, it’s like his own little bed within our bed. 
We tried the bassinet, he hated it and well let’s be honest I needed sleep! He just wants to be close, I honestly think cuz he can hear me breathe next to him it makes it better.

Might get backlash for this lol but idc I do what works for us, my baby won’t stay asleep if she can’t see me. I have a boppy newborn lounger and she sleeps right next to me swaddled in that thing with the laptop screen giving us some light so that she can see me when I lay her down. She is a very light sleeper and it’s impossible to not wake her when I set her down and she will have a panic attack if she can’t see me. Maybe when she is older I can do sleep training with her but for now she is too young to understand that I’m not abandoning her at night. There are even some nights where she won’t sleep anywhere but on my chest.

My babies sleep with me for the first couple months. Then once they can move around more I put them in a pack n play next to my bed until 1 year then it’s to the crib in their own room. They sleep in the swing and other things during the day though

My baby also did not love the halo bassinet at first.   We brought it to the main floor so she could nap in it a few times during the day, got a Velcro swaddle blanket to keep her snug, and I walk and rock her before putting her in.  I then put on the vibrate function and if she’s not fully asleep, I rock the top of the bassinet.  We also put some folded blankets under the one side to elevate the mattress which made a huge difference.  I know every baby is different but that’s what worked for us and I thought she would never sleep in it!   And you do what you’ve got to do to get sleep 🙂

My little  one will only nap in something that moves, usually the rock n play but only if I'm close and can keep an eye on her (they're not considered safe for sleep). At night she's in her halo! I have the infant insert and I think it helps and she's swaddled tight.
We also give her gas drops at night and that has worked wonders with the overnight fussiness.

My babies slept in the side sleeper next to my bed. Both kiddos needed a little head elevation, so the doctor suggested putting a blanket under the mattress of the head part. Then you can slowly lower it as you prepare for transition to crib. Also, you can roll up small towels on both sides of your baby to give her a snug feeling. Put the towels under the sheet so there is no chance it will end up on her face. And no higher than the shoulders
