Why is he ignoring me?

We had a good night out, had fun. But his mom disapproved and got into an argument with me. He didn't act angry towards me. A day after I asked him how's he doing and I got nothing, still nothing! I got my mom to text him and he replied. So I'm confused. I've known him for 9 months. Do I let him know how I feel or just let the silence ride out?
