Middle name same as cousins first name?

I love the middle name Kate for a girl but my cousins name is Katherine and went by Katie growing up but now goes by Kate. I wouldn't want her to think I'd be naming my daughter after her though. Would it be weird to use Kate? Other middle name suggestions welcome! I'm thinking either Lana or Noelle for first names.
