Odd spotting?

Has anyone else had some odd spotting around cycle days 7-9? I've been on the birthcontrol Nikki for ahout 7 months now and I'm really good about taking it regularly and on time. My boyfriend and I have sex without condoms but use the Birth control and spermacide as protection. I'm fairly certain it shouldn't be pregnancy just because timelines don't add up. Is it possibly from the Birth control?
