He won’t give me back any of my things back I left in his parents house or my brand new tv I bought for our new place. I keep asking him to give me my stuff back and he won’t. I’ve been wanting to keep the ring to pawn it and buy my belongings back. I got an estimated on the ring and it’s only 1/2 karat. They said they will only give me $300 for it.

An engagement ring is an conditional gift meaning it was given to you with the promise of ending in a marriage. Now, since the marriage didn’t happen then the correct thing to do would be to return the ring. But if he doesn’t want to give your stuff back then I can understand why you’d keep it

Everywhere has different laws on engagement rings. Look up your local laws because otherwise he may be able to take you to court. Even though I doubt it if he won’t return your items and he would be in front of a court and proven that he took your stuff. Otherwise I say pawn it if it’s legal and in the laws stated as a gift that you don’t need to return.
