Clomid and IUI

Hi Ladies,

After 2 yrs. of ttc, one mc and 3 mos. of clomid, my doctor has suggested that I do an IUI this mos. I was off clomid for 2 mos. but he wants me to start again in 3 days for cd 5-9 and then have the IUI when I get a solid smiley face on an opk later this mos. I’m traveling to Mexico to get this done as it will be less expensive. I asked if there were any restrictions or anything that I should do or not do to make this successful but he said no. Just to have sex every 3 days after my period and stop 3 days before I am expected to ovulate. Does anyone have any advise on a successful IUI while on Clomid? Also, I ovulate on my own so the Clomid is just extra. Please send me positive vibes and prayers. I really want to be blessed with a baby. It’s been so dreadful over the past yrs. Every mos. I have my hopes up and then af shows up and it just kills me. I’m becoming a bitter person and have to stop myself sometimes. I literally stopped drinking caffeine and alcohol for nothing. Sorry just went off to venting but you guys understand, right?
