Should I move cross country before or after baby?

Question

A few things to consider: I really love my OB, the earliest we could move is January 6 (I’m due March 6), we’re moving from Texas to Minnesota (cold and snowy).
I wanted to wait until 1-2 months after baby initially so I didn’t have to change doctors and so we could have a house to bring baby home to. However, I’m rethinking everything because selling a house with a newborn sounds like quite a misery.
Anyone have any advice/insight to offer?

Another vote for before. My sister moved from NC to OK a week before she had her baby. Granted there were hurricanes in the forecast & all of her family is in OK but she felt much better about everything once she was settled here.

I'd do it before if you have the option! Then you can get settled into motherhood in your new house and not have to get comfortable and then immediately get uncomfortable with the move/selling the house.

I would move before. I have moved at 9 months. Had my daughter a week after moving. I have also sold with a one year old. It's much much harder with a baby to do everything. If you could have 2 months to get the new house and everything set up before baby that sounds ideal.

I didn’t move cross country but we just bought a house and we first thought we’d move after the baby. But we decided to move before so the house is set up and we are settled in because boy, moving is no fun!! I would imagine it would be a lot harder with a baby!
