Anyone breastfeeding a baby with reflux?

My daughter was just diagnosed at two and a half weeks old and started medication yesterday. I went through the same thing with my son four years ago. I just wondered if anyone else was dealing with this while breastfeeding? It can be really challenging and id love to find someone else to talk with about it!

My oldest had reflux I just held him up after feedings, and watched that I wasn't getting caffeine or spicy foods. I let him nap in the swing the first few weeks because it was pretty bad at first. I remember laying him down in his crib, and he would instantly cover his bed in vomitt. Poor guy, but holding him up really helped and he grew out of it by 4 months.

My daughter had this (she's three now). However, I didn't breast feed since I wasn't producing enough milk. I pumped and used formula to supplement. I know it's difficult to have a baby that has that. My daughter also would spit up more than half her bottles. It was awful and she was always hungry. The meds helped but she'd still spit up and this did not stop until after a year old. I'm hoping my second daughter doesn't have this. I wonder what really causes this? Is it genetic? Is it something we ate? I had tummy problems when I was an infant as well but I never got a clear diagnosis. They actually wanted me to get surgery for it. But from what my mom told me it sounded just like my daughter's reflux symptoms. They just didn't know back then what it was in 1980.
