Does waxing decrease/prevent in grown hairs in your bikini area?

I’ve tried shaving and even nair and still struggle with in grown hairs occasionally.  Any tips to prevent them? Does waxing make it better?

It’s made it better for me! And it helps get rid of my ingrown hairs. I HATE shaving omg!

Waxing didn’t help or Previn my ingrown hairs. And it hurts like a motherfucker. 
I’ve had laser hair removal done now and haven’t had an ingrown hair since. So glad I did it and wish I did it sooner. It could’ve saved me a lot of money.
