Does anyone know what to expect after birth with GD

Does anyone know what to expect after birth with GD? I know it goes away but do they still have me test my blood 4 times a day for a few weeks? What do they do to know that it when away?

I am 7w PP. They tested my blood sugar directly after birth, it was normal and i stopped my metformin and testing and retook the test at 6 weeks

I went back to normal asap, although, I stuck with a lot of the good habits I had gotten into ;)

I was tested after delivery and after meals and my sugar went right back to normal like I never had it

I am diet controlled and they just had me stop immediately. I went back for an A1C test, maybe at 6 weeks post partum? And everything was fine, so I never had to test again! Until I got pregnant with this one :-)

I had to get an A1c done regularly to see my ranges. I was pre-diabetic before my second and third but with my current third pregnancy my A1c is out of pre-diabetic range. So I will have to be careful with mine after birth so I don't start creeping up again
