Two different due dates!? So I got my first ultrasound today and from my LMP my EDD is May 21, 2019; but the ultrasound is saying EDD June 1, 2019-- which do I go by?

Based off my LMP I would have been due May 8 but I know for a fact I didn’t ovulate until so much later in my cycle... like cycle day 25 or something! We just had the early ultrasound today and baby is measuring 7 weeks 1 day which puts the due date to May 20. That date makes more sense with my super late ovulation. It stinks a little going backwards a bit, but I am just happy baby is there and has a heartbeat!

Definitely go with the US. During my last pregnancy, the US showed my son measuring “a week small” but they opted to keep the due date based on LMP. He came 6 days “late”, exactly when my gut had always said he’d come, but the doctors get twitchy when babies are “late”.

Where it’s says the average gestational age is 5 weeks 3 days edd of June 1 that’s what I’d go by. You could always call and ask the nurse to go over it with you.
