Ovulation and breastfeeding

So with my first child I tried a natural method of swaying gender odds. For the sake of this post let’s say that it worked. (Yes I realize it may have just been straight chance).

But one of the criterion is timing. Pre/post ovulation. That sort of thing. We’re interested in getting pregnant again, but I’m breast feeding and don’t have a period. Has anyone else been in this situation? How did you deal with it?
