Any 2nd time moms not breastfeeding?

Question

I had a hard time with my daughter and made it 6 weeks and gave up. I don’t think I’m gonna put myself and this baby through that struggle so I’ve decided to formula feed instead. Any other moms feel the same way?

You do you, but keep in mind that every baby is different and the issues you had with the first may not apply to the second baby. If it were me, I would give breastfeeding a try again, but without the stress of “exclusive breastfeeding” and knowing that there is absolutely nothing wrong with giving formula if things are rough again

I breastfed for 13 months with my first and plan on breastfeeding my second but I dont know if I'll have as much time to just sit and nurse like I did with my first since now I have a 3 year old who needs tending to as well . But well see what happens I guess

It was so hard with my 1st but we finally figured it out after a few weeks of chiropractic work on her (Craniosacro Facial Massage) and loads of help from a few different lactation consultants. For us it was worth fighting for!

The struggles I had with my first daughter only made me more determined to breast feed my second daughter and was successful for an entire year. Breastfeeding is not for everyone and it takes a lot of time and dedication. I will be breastfeeding my son as well. Got to admit I’m not looking forward to the beginning. It’s the worst in the beginning, but it definitely gets a lot easier with time and practice. Good luck with whatever you decide, ladies!

I formula fed my first going to try breastfeeding this time. I’ve heard horror stories so I took a class and feel a lot better now

I had a really hard time breastfeeding my first. But we stuck it out. I plan to do the same with this baby. But I say as long as you are feeding your baby, you do you!
