Am I having contractions?

I feel these uncomfortable cramps but I can’t tell if it’s gas 😲 I went to L&D last week and they pretty much laughed at me cause I thought I was having contractions. I’m at work wondering if I need to go home and lay down. 35 weeks and 2 days

Download a contraction counting app and review the 5-1-1 contraction guidelines for some help. That being said, if you are ever concerned, don’t be afraid to call for advice.

Never feel embarrassed to go back. I’ve gone three times in the last few weeks due to contraction and ended up being diagnosed with pre term labor. They even had to give me a shot to stop the contractions! I always don’t want to go because I feel like a baby, but I’d rather know my baby was okay. If you are feeling like your having contractions you probably are sometimes the monitor doesn’t pick them up if they aren’t strong enough, but if your needing to lay down they will probably be strong enough. It’s always worth a visit even if you feel silly. That’s their job they see women who come in every day. Good luck!

My dr said if they last for 45 sec to a minute, every 5 minutes, for 2 hours, then I go to the hospital. Anything shorter or further apart are just practice contractions.
