Did anyone do crib from day 1?

Question

I ended up bedsharing with my first who transitioned to her crib at 9 months. I was a stay at home mom, but with number 2 I will be working full time and don't want to bed share, plus my first still wakes up in the middle of night.
I was thinkimg of putting the second's crib in our bedroom and trying to do crib from the beginning. Did that work for anyone? Did you use anything like the doc a tot or hammock?

Please don’t use a hammock. Those are really unsafe. Doc A Tots also aren’t considered safe places for babies to sleep.

I put my youngest in his crib in my room from day one and he dis great. I didnt want to buy a bassinet that wouldn't have been used for long. I just swaddled him til about 8 weeks, anything in the crib other than baby and a fitted sheet is unsafe IMO.

Yes, my daughter was sleeping in the crib since day one. Actually we used a pack n’ play with the bassinet attachment so that I didn’t have to bend over so far to pick her up. That helped. It takes a little time for them to realize that the night is for sleeping, but after that it wasn’t too hard.

I coslept until she was about 7 months and transitioned her into the crib

I absolutely put my daughter in her crib from day one just as the AAP recommends. She slept in a pack n play next to my side of the bed from 0-6 months and then from there, we moved her to her crib in her own bedroom. Hammocks aren't safe and babies shouldn't be sleeping in things like a DockATot without supervision.

My little one slept in a swing for the first while because the pack n play (we don’t have space for a crib) wasn’t cosy enough.

Crib or bassinet is fine from day one, but baby should be in same room as you until at least 4 months per my pediatrician

We did crib from day one. Swaddle!! She started sleeping through the night at 9 weeks and now sleeps 11 hours straight at 5 months.

With my first we started with a bassinet beside our bed, only because a crib wouldn’t fit in our room. When he was 2 months old we moved and now have a bigger master so that’s when we put a crib in our room and he slept in that no problem. We didn’t put anything in the crib. 
About to have our second, and I would use the crib for him from day one except our first is still using it. So we will use the bassinet again for a bit while we transition our toddler to a bed and free up the crib.
