Has anyone gotten negative hpt’s but ended up being pregnant?

My period is 12 days late and that is extremely unusual for me. The last time I had sex was right before I ovulated. I haven’t been in anymore stress than usual so I don’t know why I still haven’t gotten my period. I tested 3 times each 2 days apart after my missed period and they were all negative. But I’m afraid to drink or take my pain meds (I have a hip injury and am prescribed meds) Incase I am pregnant. I plan on calling my doctor in a couple days to ask for a test. Coincidentally I have an appt with her in a couple weeks for a transvaginal ultrasound.
