Would you name your first son a II after his dad and a second son his dads name and son or variation like James and Jameson for son of?

Explain why or why not if you’d like just thought it be a fun poll if anyone would do both of these traditions. Maybe for any other boys do other family names like uncles or grandpa or dads close friend.

I refused to make my son a jr i hate with a passion jrs. I feel like every kid should have there own identity also when they get  older its gonna be a pain when you gets each others mail or something goes on your credit that was supposed to be the dads or something like that it happens. But mostly i wouldnt make my son a jr just bc i dont like it

No. For 4 reasons, 
1) Husband’s name is too common
2) I would want my baby to have his own identity
3) Having three people in the house with sucha similar name is weird to me.
4) I want my baby to have an ethnic name relating to my culture

We gave my first son his father's name as his middle name. That's as far as I would go lol. I don't love Jr's as I think it's too confusing if you all live together.

Personally, I enjoy the thrill of coming up with a unique name for my child. The only time I incorporate a name from the family is a middle name but never a full name. Both of my sons have their fathers middle names as a bond with their father. But, they both have their own unique first name.

For example if dads name is: 
James Matthew then first son would be James Matthew II
And second son would be Jameson plus you pick a middle name so say for example,
Jameson Nolan 
Since dad and older son have the same name let’s say dad already goes my Jim for example and son goes my James or Matthew his middle and Jameson goes by Nolan maybe. 
I think I’ve heard this done before just curious if anyone on here. 
Another example would be dad is Carl Everett and 
1st Son Carl Everett II
2nd Son Carlson Ryan 
This example reminds me of my so who names his kids all similar names close to his. 😉

My SO is a Junior. He already has a son, who is the 3rd. First names are John. Initially we were going to name this baby boy Johnathan, but the more we talked about it we realized that we would probably end up calling him by a nickname and never saying Johnathan. We finally just decided to give him the same initials as my SO.

I wouldnt because maybe I’m a little selfish lol. Aside from wanting my baby to have it’s own identity, and the fun of picking out a new name, I’m like “why should we name the baby after just you and not me?”😂

My baby’s dad is called Luke and we’re calling the baby Lucas. Nothing to do with his name other than the fact I’ve always wanted a boy named Lucas and he loves the name just as much, also it’s the only name we both agree on 😂
I hate all his suggestions and he hates all mine, but Lucas definitely feels right for our boy ☺️
