Do you lift at your job while pregnant?

I am not pregnant yet, my bf and i are trying. I work with people with disabilities at a day program and sometimes i have to bathroom assist and lift. My co workers tell me they will help me and try not to let me lift but i am still nervous....

Yeah, I waitress and people would insist on carrying ice and cups and what not. But they didn’t know I was still lifting weights and squats up to my due date, just with modified weight. Now I have a perfect little boy 💁🏼‍♀️ my doctors always told me as long as my body was used to it and I didn’t start doing anything new and too straining, that we are fine.

I lift yes, my physio told me how to tell if it’s too heavy for me so I make sure I don’t lift those things 😊

I work in a nursing home and I lift 7 hours out of the 8 I am there. A lot are heavy assist. Just make sure to use good body mechanics and if the person is dead weight always use two people once you’re in the 2nd trimester.
