Frustrated with separated holidays

Okay so my parents are split up but my SO’s parents are still together but whenever it comes down to a holiday, Christmas, thanks giving, birthdays anything... everything has to be separate and it’s so annoying! I’m currently pregnant and have been just dealing with it as is BUT once I have the baby everyone will want to be there for these occasions much more. I don’t feel like planning THREE dinners for every holiday especially since when it comes down to it, the holidays are spent with his family and then I have to work mine in after it’s done or before it’s happened. When it comes to my daughters first birthday, I am not putting my family off to the side and having them over the day after or something.. they will be there on her actual birthday...

Am I overreacting for being a tad annoyed? I tried to make things easier by asking him to invite my dad to an occasion instead of having multiple and he said no.
