Does anyone know how they select who to drug test at birth?

Im in ny and use medical marijuana but i heard they call cps and i need my medicine so im wondering who do they test and who dont they test? No negativity i would like answers so don’t answer if you have no helpful advice to say.

If it is actually medically prescribed your dr would already know about it & would tell you what the next steps would be & you wouldn’t be worried.. either way be honest with your dr about what you should do.

they test everyone. and call cps if drugs are present, even if its legal. just bring a valid copy of your prescription with you to the hospital to avoid a bigger fallout.

They dont ask they test you both and if you have no evidence to show its medically prescribed  to you and you are allowed to take it during your pregnancy, your child will be in cps care.

My understanding is they test everyone even if marijuana is legal they will ... call cps happened to a friend that I used to talk to .. she smoked her whole pregnancy and ended up having cps at the hospital ..

Varys by state. Washington is a non reporting state on weed. Not sure where you are tho

The state I live in requires all moms to be tested before birth and test babies after birth.
