How many sheets and hooded towels is too many?

For my baby shower I officially have 10 sets of crib sheets, 4 changing pad covers and 8 hooded towels. I feel it's a tad excessive but being a First Time Momma what do I know. How many sheets and hooded towels is a good amount? I was thinking like 4 sheets since Kim expecting blow outs and spit up pretty often in bed, but we dont bathe babies daily so I'm thinking I'd have time to do laundry before the hooded towels need to be washed. Advise?

For me personally I found the hooded towels to be completely useless. They’re cute but they’re TINY....it’s next to impossible to keep a baby warm and wrapped up in something that small. My kids would always get super cold after the bath if they had any skin out so I preferred to use a full sized towel so I could keep them completely covered and wrapped up.

I have 4 crib sheets, 2 mattress protectors and 4 towels. I agree that the hooded towels are pretty useless depending on the towel. I have 2 that are huge and really nice, more of a toddler sized towel though. The change pad covers you’ll go through a lot. You could probably keep 2 or 3 of the towels and return the rest and return a few of the sheets maybe exchange them for a mattress protector.

We never used hooded towels really. We got 2 for our shower and I think I used them a couple times the first month. After that, they sat in the linen closet unused. I think you have too many crib sheets too.

We have 7 crib sheets. But we have two kids in cribs and we have to send a set for each child to day care every week. So I think you are good there.

I just had my 2nd child and have not bought any additional items of these since my first. I have 3 crib sheets (a must is a waterproof pad under the sheets, I have 1 of those). No kid specific towels, just use the adult ones. 2 changing pad covers.

Hooded towel's I never really used regular towels work way better they are much thicker the crib sheets in my opinion are a perfect amount you can never have too many changeing pad covors to they will get pooped on peed on so that's really good you have quite a bit of them

I think the crib sheets is excessive. 
I have 2 crib sheets, one changing pad cover (but it has an overlay that if theres a blowout we can wash that and still have a cover on it) and like 4 towels. I don't know how often you do laundry but I do it once a week and that amount is fine. I think you will find that you're not going to use all the crib sheets, however depending on the size of the towels that amount should be fine. My daughter is 4 and we still use hooded towels on her that we got from when she was a baby. We plan on getting some larger hooded towels later on because we have 2 newborn sized ones now that she will grow out of

When he gets about 3 months old, you may bathe your baby more often. They are more active and can get the milk smell on them, especially if they spit up that day. I don't think you have too many towels. Maybe too many crib sheets, but hey you'll have plenty.
