Parallel parking

Ladies when trying to get your drivers license what do you have to pass? Is parallel parking real important and if so what do you have to do any tips or information on how you pass or how far you have to be to the curve?

You need to be within a foot from the curb for parallel parking 😊 and whether or not it's on your road test, yes it is important and something you need to be able to do

20+ years ago it was part of the test. It may be different now and may depend on your location. Call the licensing office.

Just don’t hit the curb or the cone, that counts as hitting a person. Take your time and practice ahead of time. Make sure you check for signs and out on your seatbelt don’t do anything unless the instructor or an adult is in the car with you. They used to fail people for that. Let them get in first. Be sweet. Offer them gum. Can I help you adjust your seat. I couldn’t drive for anything lol. Only thing I did well was drive backwards In a straight line. He helped me parallel park. Told me when you turn the wheel. I was like a mile away when I tried it on my own. He was very sweet. And good luck.

Parallel parking was part of mine. It was the last part of the test and if i failed just that part I failed the whole test. Definitely practice it before you go. Plus, it comes in handy if you ever have to park along a curb or between a couple cars.

depends on the state, but I had to parallel park to get a MI license. All you can really do is practice. Go to an empty parking lot on a weekend or something and practice it

When I took the test I had to complete that part first, after the car inspection. If you couldn't parallel park, you couldn't move on to the rest of the driving test.

Depends on where you live. I moved around a lot and was prepared to take my drivers test in different places (long complicated story). When I finally did take my road test I didn’t have to parallel park. But, everywhere else I could’ve ended up I would’ve had to parallel park to pass the test. You should be able to find your locations drivers handbook online and it will explain what you need to know for your road test. You can also call the testing centre and ask for what they will want you to do.

I didn’t have to parallel park to get my drivers license. Just a .3 turnaround BUT I would definitely learn how to depending on where you live. I have to all the time and it’s definitely much easier if you know how lol
