3 weeks pp

I am 3 weeks postpartum and my bleeding has turned into like brown tint of yellow discharge. I know that’s normal however it has this horrible smell... 😳 I’ve read that the smell could be from it all being in me for so long. Is it normal? I have a 4week pp check up next week. Just looking to get some insight.
