Newborn spitting up more than usual..

So I just switched my babies formula from Gentlease Emfamil to Infant... my son was get pretty constipated with the Gentlease, it’s been 5 days that he’s been on Infant and it seems like since he started he’s been spitting up ALOT of formula. I’ve talked to his doctor about it and he says it’s normal but it just seems like it’s excessive. If I could measure it it seems like it’s about 1/2oz-1oz that he’s throwing up.

He’s 1 1/2 months and I literally just started giving him 4oz every 3-5 hours within these last few days. I was originally giving him 3 1/2 but then he started getting pissed after eating and not even his pacifier would calm him down like it usually does after eating. But it’s like he spits up SOO much right after a feeding now and then sometimes even more a couple/few times a little after eating. Before he’d spit up a bit but it wasn’t too bad. Now it’s like I’m even trying to give him breaks in between oz and burping him but that doesn’t even seem like it helps.

I’m also a FTM so maybe I’m just being paranoid lol but like I said it’s a lot more than usual and it’s pretty thick too. Lately I’ve been trying to make some of the 4oz bottles with a full 2 scoops and then some with 1 2/3 scoops to help but even that doesn’t seem to help.

Any suggestions? Should I try and get him back to eating every 2-3 hours and giving him smaller bottles? (It’s usually 3 hours sometimes 4 during the day but he sleeps every 5 hours at night). Should I do all his bottles with the 1 2/3 scoops for a 4oz bottle? Should I stop and do all with 2 full scoops? Even if it is normal I’m sure there’s a way to get it to tone back down to how it was before. Where it was only 1/2oz of spit up or less. I read something about giving them a little cereal but Idk about that yet since he’s still so young. Is it just a reaction he’s having to the formula if it isn’t normal?

Lol this is driving me crazy and I need mommy input.. please and thank you! Also no judgements I just need suggestions and help.
