How can I get rid of jaundice? Pls help!!!

At my baby’s 5 day check up the doctor told me she has a bit of jaundice in her face and to put her in the sun. Well there is literally zero sun where I live, it’s rainy and cloudy all day long. I give her vitamin d drops but I don’t think that’s the same. So how can I get rid of her jaundice if there’s no sun??

Just make sure she’s eating a lot so she’s peeing and pooping it out.

If you are breastfeeding then feed as often as possible. And indirect sunlight like behind clouds still counts 🙂 but I wouldn't worry too much since his numbers weren't high enough to send him to the hospital

Just breastfeed as much as possible! My guy had it really bad and they said the more he poops and pees, the better it will get. It sounds like you're on the right track.

Vitamin d drops actually did help a lot with my son’s jaundice.

My daughter had jaundice after her birth. The Drs. had me supplement with formula just so she could poop something. They get over it faster with poo diapers. I'm back to exclusively breastfeeding now. And she was in a blue light box at the hospital, that helped also..

All they did for my daughter was supplement her with formula with iron and also vitamins with iron. I would talk to baby’s doctor Before giving her vitamins with iron tho.

Use formula if you are breastfeeding. It’ll go away on its own (most of the time)
