How many times is spitting up too much? Formula fed.

Question

Our baby has been spitting up lately (formula fed). I read a million different things about spitting up and most of it said it’s normal after feedings even if they burp. Any thoughts?

My son was an avid spitter upper. Just about every feeding, he was breast fed, he would spit up everywhere. I spelt like spoiled milk pretty much every day 😂 totally normal though.  One day, around 6-7 months, i think, he just stopped.

As long as it’s not projectile vomiting, making them lose weight then it’s considered “normal”

Just some reflux. 
My daughter did the same thing. 
What I did that helped some is I’d feed her while I held her at an upward angle almost like she’s sitting on my arm. Then I’d burp her once after half the bottle and then again when she finished the bottle. 
After that last burp I’d hold her up at an upwards angle for 15-20 mins to let her tummy settle and boom no spit up!

My son spit up a lot but the doctor said as long as he’s not fussy when he spits up and is still gaining weight it is ok. You could try using different formulas and seeing if it helps. I burped him every feed and kept him upright at least 10-15 min and that didn’t seem to help either
