I developed preeclampsia during my pregnancy. High blood pressure and protein count 2500. Since my c section I have had HBP and headaches if Im late to take my HBP med. After having your little one, did you have high blood pressure and or headaches?

I was officially diagnosed with preeclampsia the day I had my section (39 weeks, 6 days)- my BP readings were about 170/110 at my appt so I went straight to L&D. They stabilized overnight (they did wind up putting me on mag sulfate overnight) and then within two days went back up to 150s/90s. I’m on 200 mg twice a day of labetalol...heading to my check now so hopefully they’ve gone down a bit. My doctor told me the average is about 6 weeks of meds post surgery for those with preeclampsia who continue to have high BP...so nuts. I’m still in awe that I even wound up with it!

I’m now 14mpp and still experience both. I’m on 3 bp meds now and if I forget them I get horrible headaches.

I am 3 months pp after preeclampsia and still have low-high bp. About 130s/80s. I’m not on labetalol or procardia anymore, I was told to just have my family doctor monitor me once a month. To be fair I haven’t done a good job of losing weight even though I’m breastfeeding so I think once I finally can lose another 30lbs I’ll be doing better
