Baby Name Suggestion

Er

I'm not pregnant so this is a gift to you ladies. Specifically those of you who like Celtic names.

At first glance, you might think about sweaters when you see the name: it's Cardigan.

If you are able to get past the sweater thing, you will find that Cardigan is a beautiful, unisex name with a similarity to the name Corrigan. Cardigan comes from the Welsh name of "Ceredigion", which is a spelling you also can use. You can also use the short-form of "Cardie".

The reason why we think about sweaters when we say "Cardigan" is because long ago, the seventh Earl of Cardigan burnt his army uniform coattails. I believe there's more to the story but that's who we named the sweaters after.

This name is unique yet beautiful. The more I say it in my head, the more it sounds like a good name. Please don't hate on me for the name if you don't like it, it's just a suggestion for history lovers. I have social anxiety so your comments will make me cry if you say you don't like it. So please just move on if you don't. Thanks.
