It can survive but its hard. And a lot of work. Mentally and physically. Mine survived but there’s still a lot of issues 3 years down the road that still need to be worked on. I’m tired of everyone saying “it can’t be fixed or it shouldn’t”. People are human. We make mistakes and we fuck up. But we also know how to fix ourselves if we truly want what we want.

From my own experience NO it can’t, especially if you know that you were the best woman you could be. My x husband and I immigrated to a S after country with our two kids. He came 2 months before me. Started drinking heavily and then cheated on me. I found out a couple of months later. I left him, being all alone in a country I knew no one. I only had my kids. I met a wonderful man a couple of months later and as happy as I can be. Don’t ever settle for second best! Once a cheater always a cheater. You shared something so intimate, but once someone cheats it’s gone.

My husband has cheated more times than I can count.. literally. I couldn’t even tell you all the names of the girls it was that many times. However, he never touched any of them. He did flirt, exchange sexual photos, sext, tell them he “loves” them, I was a horrible bitch, etc. 
But.. we were young. It started when I was 15, him 17. It countined until I was 19 and he was 21. We had a fairly toxic relationship as it is and you add that onto being teens, idk. It’s been a while and it’s hard. I mean extremely hard. I still cry. I STILL don’t know if I can move on and be with him. We love eachother, he’s explained why he did it and that he loves me. We have 3 children together. He said he was just lonely, and at that time he didn’t care, we weren’t truly in love. 
So yes, it CAN work. But if both sides don’t give 10000% (more so for the cheater) then it won’t work.

Back when my wife and I were only a few months into dating I started to have feelings for another girl. Not real feelings, confused teenage feelings. I never touched the other girl in any way, but we exchanged flirty messages for a little bit. The thing is, I knew I wanted to be with my wife, and I had no intention of going any further with the other girl. After about two weeks I messaged the girl and said I didn’t want to talk to her anymore and that I’m in love with my wife and I’m sorry if I confused her. But after that, my wife looked through my phone while I was asleep and read all the messages. There was nothing sexual about the messages, it was just stupid suggestive flirting, but still very stupid. She cried on the bathroom floor for hours before even telling me she read the messages. I felt indescribably guilty. I hated myself for even thinking of betraying her like that. All I could think was that it was the worst thing I’d ever done. She forgave me and said it couldn’t happen again, and that if I felt feelings for someone else to tell her first. That broke my heart. It’s been over a year and I still feel bad about it but I’m so so glad our relationship didn’t end over that.

One guy I dated for almost one year and I was totally crazy in love with him. I thought he was a good guy but I started to hear many rumors about him seeing another girl and I didn’t believe it because it was a rumor. But later on, I found out it was all true after we stopped dating each other and I found myself felt so disgusting for believed in him and all his lies but know what? He started to pursue me to win me back and I refused to go back to him at all. Best decision ever. I don’t want to be with any man who’d abuse my trust and my love carelessly. Its not even worth my time. And now I’m pregnant with a boyfriend I dated for over three years and I’m perfectly happy being with him since he is crazy in love with me, treats me like a Queen and he is so excited to be the father. I consider it a blessing from God.
