Fuming!! (Long post) UPDATE

Brittney

So my son is in daycare and has been since he was 6 weeks old. So far he has had 2 “accidents” that required an incident report. The first one was when they sat him up at 4 months old and let him face plant on the carpet and scrape his nose 😡 the second one he scratched himself on the face (moms fault for not clipping his nails) so I let it slide. Today I pick him up and the girl says “here I need you to sign this, he hit his head this morning on the wall.” My son is 5 months old and the incident report said “teacher was sitting child down and accidentally bumped his head on wall, ice pack applied” I never got a phone call and the girl who did it was already off by the time I got there so I don’t know the whole story. My sister works at the daycare in a different room so they did tell her, but I’m still his MOM! I know he’s fine, but wouldn’t you be livid if this happened? I can’t pull him out of daycare bc my husband and I both work and honestly I don’t think it would be safer to put him in a different daycare since my sister is always there with him. I already called the director and told her that we don’t feel comfortable with that specific teacher watching him anymore and that we would like a phone call anytime an incident report is going to be filled out. Should I do anything else? Not sure if you can tell in the picture, but my poor babe has a goose egg and a small bruise (it’s in his hair) and here’s the pic of when he fell face first onto the carpet.

Upadate: So I may be overreacting but I want to make it clear that I’m not upset that my baby got a bump. I’m upset that the teacher banged his head on a wall and is also the same person who sat up a baby who couldn’t support himself and then walked away while he fell face first into the carpet. I know children have accidents but I feel like both of these things could have been prevented if the teacher was paying attention. Call me the “crazy Mom” but I can’t help worrying about my baby when I’m not with him.
