I'm a little bias with this because I wasn't attracted to my boyfriend when we first met. But I LOVED his personality. He wasn't ugly or bad looking. I just wasn't attracted physically. He chased me. Now we've been together 2 years and I can't keep my eyes and hands off of him.

I have a guy like this I know and I would never go out with him, even as friends.   Going out on a date 'as friends' when you already know you don't like him in that way gives him the impression that if he tries hard enough, he might have a chance.   And that's not fair to him.

Nearly 6 years ago I went on a date with a guy that I wasn’t attracted to, but he had a great personality and we got a long so well. Long story short, we’re getting married in January. He’s not my physical type at all, but it’s what’s on the inside the counts in my opinion (plus looks fade- personality doesn’t) I’m now very attracted to him and couldn’t imagine being with someone else. So yes I would go on a date with someone I wasn’t attracted to, as long as he had a good personality.
